He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Virgil "Jack" and Florence Elizabeth Sloan (Webster); and his wife Doris Ann Blackburn. He is survived by: his daughters, Rosanne Newland (Charles) of Higginsville, MO., Sherry Sloan of Arlington, TX., Jackie Sloan of Jefferson City, MO. and Crystal Gay Sloan of Liberty, MO.; his grandchildren, Leann Drury (Jacob) of Higginsville and Michael Newland (Jamie) of Higginsville; his great grandchildren, Lucas and Adaya Newland; and his brother Ted Sloan (Martha). He is also survived by 1 niece and 3 nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hamilton Federated Church or the Stanley Stout Scholarship Fund at the American Royal.
