Charles Lee Siders of Hamilton, Mo., passed away at Mosaic Life Center in St. Joseph, Mo., on February 9, 2021 at the age of 69. Charles is survived by his wife, Reta Mae; four children, two sons, Charles Jr. (Jean Allen) and Adam (Wendy Fitzpatrick), and two daughters, Kimberly (Andrew Murphy) and Tonya (Justin Pettiecord); five grandchildren, Savannah, Brent (Madlyn Flaherty), Haley (Riley Horton), Andrew and Kelsey; three great grandchildren, Paisley, Dean and Haiyden; mother-in-law, Dorothy Roby; and two sisters, Sharon Simpson and Debbie Childers (Terry).

He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by both of his parents, Charles and Jeanie Siders; father-in-law, Everett Clements; brother-in-law, Paul Simpson; and grandson, Randy Siders. Charles was born in Kansas City, Mo., on March 3, 1951. He graduated from Park Hill High School in 1969.

Charles married the the love of his life, Reta Mae (Clements) on June 21, 1969. They were married for 51 years and had three amazing children. Charles held numerous positions during his time working for General Motors of Fairfax, Kans., and was part of the Local 31 UAW Union from 1969 to1988. Charles was a devoted father and grandfather.

He was an avid pool player often playing in local tournaments, even playing in Vegas in his younger years. He also enjoyed repairing and restoring vehicles, loved country music, and watching old westerns. Charles never met a person he didn't like. He made friends with everyone he came in contact with and always had a big smile on his face.

He was truly the rock of his family, always wanting everyone to get along. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
