He was predeceased by: his father James Compton; and his siblings, Mike and Nancy. He is survived by: his mother Betty Lou Compton; his wife Patricia Ann Barron; his children, Carmen (Darrick) and Owen (Nicole); his grandchildren, Dawson (Shaleah), Jacob, Isaiah, Zechariah and Giada; and his great grandchild Paisley. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks donations be made to REACH - Relief for Employees to Aid Catastrophic Hardships. 501 (c) 3 established to provide emergency financial assistance to Evergy employees who are unable to afford basic living expenses due to unplanned events such as illness, injury, death or natural disaster.
