He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Maggard and Lola Maggard (Combs); his siblings-in-law, Bert and Bessie Hodges; his sisters, Juanita Whittaker and Ruth Hodges; and his siblings-in-law, Billy Hodges and Vada Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Arlena; his daughter Robin Maggard; and his grandsons, James R. and Joseph E. Strait. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
