He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Andrew and Mary Margaret Adkins (Turner); and his brother Gene Adkins. He is survived by: his wife Rosalind Claas; his sons, Chad Adkins (Candace) of Columbia, Kyle Adkins (Melissa) of Columbia, Eric Adkins (Pamela) of Columbia and Adam Adkins (Ashlee) of Hallsville; his grandchildren, Hope, Jakob, Jalon, Will, Abe, Andy and Ruth; and his siblings, Don Adkins (Virginia) of Columbia, Phyllis Hayes (Richard) of Montrose, CO, Barbara Haley (Ron) of Columbia, Sarah Wyatt (Dennis) of Hallsville and Cindy Driskill (Martin) of Hallsville.
