It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ella Elizabeth Schoning of Hallsville, Missouri, who passed away on December 21, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Knecht and Golda Knecht (Meyer); her husband Marion "Mart" Schoning; her daughter Susan Melloway; her son-in-law Grover Samuels; and her sisters, Martha Johnson and Marie Evans.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Samuels of Hallsville and Peggy Jacobs (Steve) of Bentonville, AR; her son-in-law Gene Melloway of Hallsville; and her grandchildren, Jeff Samuels, Amy Samuels, Jason Samuels (Bridgit), Kristen Samuels, Daniel Walker, Courtney Walker, Angie Mabe (James), Adam Melloway (Krystle), Stephanie Chisholm (Maurice) and Greg Melloway (Haylee). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Red Top Christian Church (14355 North St U, Hallsville, MO 65255). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at the Red Top Church Cemetery (14355 North St U, Hallsville, MO 65255).
Memorial donations are suggested to the Red Top Christian Church, the Lyceum Theatre or the CMAAA Home Delivered Meals Program and may be sent in care of Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home, 104 S. Collier St. Centralia, MO 65240.
