He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sampsel and Sybil Sampsel (Ullemeyer); his sister Judy Sampsel; and his granddaughter Jessica. He is survived by: his daughters, Victoria Mott (Andrew) of Bothell and Holli Hummel of Riverview, Florida; and his stepdaughters, Tamie Carr (Roger) of Brookfield and Kandi Ellsaesser of Wichita, Kansas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
