She was predeceased by: her father Floyd Tibbs; her husbands, Jasper Nelson and George Wilson; her siblings, Mary Lois, Dorothy, Earlene, Bill, Kenneth, Leroy and George; her children, Doris Jean, Jerome and Anthony; and her grandchildren, David, Jodi and Travis.
She is survived by: her mother Mabel Tibbs (Raglin); her children, Vera Archer, Yvonne Smith, Johnny Nelson (Terrie), Allen Nelson, Gary Nelson (Joyce) and Earnie Wilson (Shawna); her brother Gerald Tibbs; and also Virgil Nelson. She is also survived by Fifteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ruegg Funeral Home-Greenville (117 Oak St, Greenville, MO 63944). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lewis Cemetery.
