He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Groves and Alta Mae Groves (Dickerson); his former wife Glenda Romine (Daves); his son Bobby Groves; his stepsons, John Romine, Earl Thomas Bartch, Emmett Taylor Bartch and Elmer Timothy Bartch; and his sisters, Peggy Purl and Betty Galmore.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Groves; his son Terry Groves (Ronda) of Greenville; and his stepchildren, Brenda Romine of Poplar Bluff, Tenna Libla (Bill) of Greenville and Norma Fay McCoy (James) of Philadelphia, PA. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
