He was predeceased by: his wife Blanche Nadine Stanley; his parents, B. F. Cate and Ona Cate (Woods); his siblings, Arvil, Earl, Leon Cate, Imogene Milburn-Pierce, Margaret Cate, Wanda Crossfield and Linda Welty; his granddaughter Jennifer Meade; and his daughter-in-law Brenda Cate (Grotsky).
He is survived by: his children, Ernie Cate (Becky) of Puxico, MO., Nancy (Lenny McCanless) of Troy, IL., Tracey Cate (Perry Nieft) of Georgetown, TX., Kim (Alan Bryant) of Punta Gorda, FL. and Christopher Cate (Connie Sue) of Greenville, MO.; and his sisters, Pauline Pierce (Milburn) of Corning, AR., Euvilla Bland of Paragould, AR. and Carolyn Matheny of Rector, AR.. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
