He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Thompson and Bertha Thompson (McKinney); his wife Carol Ann Clavier; and his siblings, Eva Sherrill, Edna Brazier, Syble Trelinski, Rufus and William Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Jack (Cynthia Thompson), Jason (Heather Thompson), Joyce (Murray McCoy) and Julia (Joe Burke); his siblings, Uel Thompson of Lake Station, IN and Ethel Weitz of Tullahoma, TN; and his close friend Edna Green of Columbia, MO.. He is also survived by six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews.
