He was predeceased by: his parents, James Logan and Pearl Marcella Ellis (Frew); his brother James Ellis Jr.; his brother-in-law Don Shelly; and his wife Helen Willis.
He is survived by: his son Matthew Ellis of Greentop, MO; his stepchildren, Marvin Pruitt of Columbia, MO, Ronald Dow of St. Louis, MO, David Prim (Amy) of Elvaston, IL, Kathy Hale of Navoo, IL, Patricia Pruitt of Bethany, MO and Shelly Miller of Kirksville, MO; his sister Shirley Shelly of Memphis, MO; his grandchildren, Jessie, Timothy Apanda, Caitlyn Miller, Ethan, Halie, Hunter Prim, Taz Seavey "Todd", Tazlene Seavey "Kathlene", Richlene Seavey "Troublemaker", Faith Seavey, Phebe Downen "Popcorn" and Fanchine Downen; and also, Donna Stewart of Kirksville, MO, William, Brian Cullers and Gary Briddle. He is also survived by seven children, including six step-children and one son.
Due to Covid 19 the family request that those who attend please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
