He was predeceased by: his parents, Vint Shirk and Cordia Mae Shirk (Mallory); and his sisters, Carlie Cooper and Ruby Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Dennis Shirk (Lois), Sandy Lowrance (Elmer), Jim Shirk (Rose Holder) and Linda Shirk (Dale Boothe); his grandchildren, Jerold Shirk, Terry Shirk, Nathan Shirk, Carol Duncan (Adam), Robert Lowrance, Bayley Spain (Trevor) and Layken Shirk (Carson Gregg); and his great grandchildren, Jessi Bailey (Izak), Eli Shirk, Lacy Shirk, Avery Shirk, Caleb Duncan and Moriah Duncan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ecuador Missions .
