Cordia Belle Kathan Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cordia Belle Kathan of Greenfield, Missouri, who passed away on February 17, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Bishop and Eula Gwen Bishop (Jones); the father of her children William "Bill" Shirk; her husband Robert "Bob" Kathan; her siblings, Bob Bishop, Charles Bishop, Barbara Gladden and Carolyn White; and her brothers-in-law, Paul Clabough and Howard Gladden.
She is survived by: her close friend Bob Martens; her son Dennis Shirk (Lois); her grandchildren, Jerold Shirk, Terry Shirk (Kristen), Nathan Shirk and Carol Duncan (Adam); her daughter Sandy Lowrance (Elmer); her grandson Robert Lowrance; her son James Shirk (Rosea Holder); her grandchildren, Bayley Spain (Trevor) and Layken Shirk (Carson Gregg); her daughter Linda Shirk (Dale Booth); her siblings, Donnie Bishop, Leona Clabough and Judy Mitchell (Butch); and her siblings-in-law, Bob White and Marge Bishop. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility, Gentiva Hospice, or to the Freewill Baptist International Missions for Carol and Adam Duncan who are stationed in Ecuador.
