He was predeceased by: his parents, Walker Francis Heverns and Edith Viola Heverns (Barton); his stepfather Curtis Owen Gall; his siblings, Denver Heverns (Cathy) and Alice Kay Renegar Townsend; his nephews, Robert Hart, Ben Heverns, Michael "Mikey" Heverns, Travis Howell and Kevin Howell; his niece Jennifer Hart; and his brothers-in-law, Al Townsend, Gene Renegar and Rodney Bill Hart.
He is survived by: his stepson Johnson Cody Burks of Mountain View, MO; his children, Elizabeth Marie Heverns of Verona, MO, Sara Ellen Hurd (Daytona) of Greenfield, MO, Amber Rane Heverns of Springfield, MO and Joseph Cameron Heverns of Verona, MO; his former wife Sherry J. Burks of Verona, MO; and his siblings, Audra Hart, Evelyn "Ebbie" Weisbrod, Norma Howell (Mike), Roy Heverns (Kathy) and Richard "Dean" Heverns. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
