He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon R. Ditton, Sr. and Viola Ditton (Payne); his siblings, Karen Ditton and Vernon R. Ditton, Jr.; and his great grandchild Emma Hunter.
He is survived by: his former wife Deborah Williams Young; his daughters, Wendy Merrick of Florida and Tammy Wolf (Brandon) of Sedalia; his wife Leota McKinzie Greeson; his children, Tonya Hammons of Warrensburg, Alan Greeson of Sedalia and Lori Bonnot (Patrick) of Jefferson City; his sister Marilyn Ash of Independence; and his grandchildren, Brittany, Brian, Colten, Kelton, Carson, Nichelle, Dolan, Claire, Truman, Klein and Alden. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and one on the way; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter or Benton County Hospice in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
