He was predeceased by : his parents, Melburne Roy Soles and Anna Belle Soles (Robinson); his son Dale Bennett Soles; and his siblings, Wayne M. Soles, Bailey Soles, Charles Soles, Billy Soles, Mardellya Anders and Nellie Belle Owens.

He is survived by : his wife Della Mae Lawson; his children, Larry Soles (Neena) and Dianne Miller; and his siblings, Melburne Soles and Naomi Carter. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
