He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eldon Edward "Buck" and Helen Vinzant (Baker); his former wife Carol Griffin; his wife Karen Vinzant (Newman); his children, Helen Renee Vinzant of Excelsior Springs, Mickey Shane Vinzant (Esther Jean) of Pattonsburg, Gina Louise Cooper (Bevin Franklin) of Centralia and Laura Halladay of Iowa; his sisters, Donna Newson of Iowa, Sandra Heaston of Ohio and Marilyn Sue Burns of Iowa; his brothers-in-law, David Newman of Memphis, Richard Newman of Kirksville and Robert Newman (Angela) of Memphis, Missouri.; his son Clint Edward Vinzant, Jr.; his brother John Vinzant; and his granddaughter Faith Vinzant. He was also cherished by 11 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Green City United Methodist Church.
