He was predeceased by: his brother Carroll; his parents, Melvin and Hattie; and his daughter Sara Williams. He is survived by: his spouse Nancy Simpson; his sister Ila Jane Watt Gale of Overland Park, KS; his children, Jennifer Tuttle (Doug) of Green City, MO, Amy Miles (Greg) and John Watt (Tami); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Kral (Mike) of Bloomfield, IA, Ryan L. Barlow, Margaret Miles, Thomas Watt, Katie Miles, Mary Watt and Andrew Watt; and his great grandchildren, Sarafina Kral and Samuel Kral. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
