He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Boersma and Shirley Boersma (Fairchild); his wife Shirley Boersma (Fisk); his daughter Kathy Boersma; and his brother Richard Boersma.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Mary of Unionville, Carl of Unionville and Richard Mendenhall of Unionville; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Bentlee, Trenton, Eli, Ariel and Rider.
