He is survived by: his friend Mary Anne Hawkins; his sons, H. C. and Roger; his grandchildren, Jeremy Pennel, Jennifer Ruggles (Brett) of Rose Hill, KS, Joshua Pennel (Samantha) of Shawnee Mission, KS, Theresa Larson (Matthew) of Fairfax, MO and Marcy Saniuk (Michael); his great grandchildren, Colten, Adalynn, Rylee Pennel, Cheyene, Colton, Nash and Dagan Ruggles; his grandchildren, Lexus, Libby, Lucas Pennel, Braiden, Amelia, Caroline Larson and Dex Saniuk; his brother Berres Pennel (Lucille) of Hiawatha, KS; and his close friend Terry Whitford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
