She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Giesken and Virgie Giesken (Heathco) of Quitman, Missouri.; her grandparents, Joe, Lula Giesken, Frank and Lena Heathco; her sister Mary Frances; and her father-in-law Gail Downing.
She is survived by: her husband Jerald James Downing; her children, Jerod Downing (Jennifer), Verlena Coston (Micah), James Downing (Karamaneh) and Valyssa Stark (Tyler); her grandchildren, Imajen, Lyric, Jewel Downing, Jolyssa, Jerrica, Joel, Judah, Leyna Joy Coston, Journee, Lula, Truley, Joseph, Galyn Downing, Milena, Jovey, Vivian, Tylee Jolene Stark, Mother and Shirley Downing; her sisters, Gayla (Les Stevens) and Jeanie (Kevin Harding); her nieces and nephews, Blake, Bruce, Brock Stevens, Emily Maudlin (Brad), Abbey Clarkson (Ben) and Lucas Harding (Josee); and her aunt Monica Zirfas.
In lieu of flowers it was Jolene's wish that memorials be given to Laura Street Baptist Church Children and Youth Programs.
