He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Ruth and Laura May Ruth (Giles); his son Eric; his grandson-in-law Shane Cass; and his son-in-law Mark Lanzarotta.
He is survived by: his wife Verle Christensen; his children, Doyle Ruth (Polly) and Beth Lanzarotta; and his grandchildren, Stacey Cass, Travis Ruth (Kelli) and Eric Woosley (Melissa).
