He was predeceased by: his parents, Vada Whipple (Cook) and Albert Dean Whipple; his sister Margaret; and his brothers-in-law, Floyd Nelson and John Shimer.

He is survived by: his sister Lulu Shimer. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and friends.
