He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Sands (HB) and Mary Sands; his wife Mildred; his siblings, Wilma, Dale, Don and Kenneth; and his son Michael.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Sands of Raytown, MO and Randy Sands (Jeff) of Robbinsdale, MN; his grandchildren, Rachel McDougal (Steve) of Grandview, MO, Jason Sands (Michelle) of Lenexa, KS and Ryan Sands (Tonya) of Buffalo, MN; his brother Jerry of Raymore, MO; and also Ralph. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
