He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephan Knapp and Shirley Knapp (Kern); and his brother Stephan Knapp. He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Knapp, Jr. (Melissa) of Ellington, MO and James Knapp (Ellen) of Huntsville, Alabama; his stepchildren, George Riggins and Tammy Joy; his siblings, Margie Knapp of Grandin, John Knapp (Debbie) of Doniphan and George Knapp (Wilma) of Poynor, MO.; his grandchildren, Sarah Dale (Daniel), Timothy Knapp, Joshua Knapp, Joellen Joy, Michael Knapp and Jennifer Knapp; and his great grandchild Alice Dale.
