Though Phyllis Earline may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Phyllis Earline touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Olis Barker and Ruby Barker; and her siblings, Helen Anderson, Peggy Mullins, Carol Scribner, Arthur Barker and Earl Barker.
She is survived by: her husband George R. Thornton; her children, Wanda Scott (James), Rebecca Cahalan (Jim) and George Thornton (Chris); and her brother Olis Barker Jr. (Beverly). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Clark Funeral Home (312 S Wood St, Neosho, MO 64850). A graveside service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the New Salem Cemetery (8214 Norway Rd, Neosho, MO 64850).
