He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymon E. Cornwell and Villa R. Cornwell (Duncan); his former wife Barbara J. Barnes; and his brother Leroy Cornwell. He is survived by: his wife Shirley J. Clesson (Craig) of Grain Valley; his children, Brian Cornwell (Ellie) of Grain Valley, Derek Cornwell (Kim) of Stillwell and Kathi Woodall (Jimmy) of Grain Valley; his stepdaughter Kari Allen (Steven) of Grain Valley; his grandchildren, Luke, Jake, Cole, John, Aidan, Norah, Carson, Abigail, Chloe, Hope, Sarah, Benjamin and Gabrielle; and his sisters, Anna Westfall of Lenexa, Zelma Lary of Muncie and Clara Pyles of Raymore, Missouri. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lone Jack Baptist Church or Lone Jack Christian Church (DOC) and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
