He was predeceased by: his parents, Louella Hayward (Kroenke) and John Hayward of Higginsville, MO.; his brothers, Bob and Tom; and his son Danny Cross (Janet).

He is survived by: his brother John Hayward; and his children, Ted, Cary Hayward, Stephanie Hutchinson, Kimberly Vittetoe and Dawn Cross. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
