He is survived by: his wife Glenda; his daughters, Jennifer Hopson of Independence and Stephanie Spurgeon of Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchildren, McKenzie Becker, Mikylah Blackmon, Zen Hopson and Stylz Blackmon; his great grandchildren, Alex, Ace Becker, Malai and Mori'Yonna Harrison-Blackmon; and his siblings, David Spurgeon (Theresa) of Shawnee, Kansas, Daniel Spurgeon (Suzanne) of Raytown, Missouri, Paul Spurgeon of Raytown, Missouri and Sandra Emily (Dan) of Independence.
