He is survived by: his wife Heather; his daughters, Heather Skouby (Derick) of Bridgeton, MO and Serena Arthur (Chad) of Olathe, KS; his grandchildren, Hadley, Gwendolyn, Jensen, Charlotte, Eastlynn and Georgia; his siblings, James Brooks (Gwendolyn) of Kansas City, MO and Mary Sharon Brooks of Kansas City, MO; and his nieces and nephews, James Brooks (Jennifer), Lyn Petro (Soren), Ted Brooks (Annie), Megan Bolch (Matt), Kevin Brooks (Emily) and Andrew Brooks (Kim).
