With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elbert Chiddix of Grain Valley, Missouri, who passed away on October 11, 2020 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samual Chiddix and Bernice Chiddix (Johnson); his wife Patsy Chiddix; his siblings, Arnold, Louise Long, Lorene Eddins and Hazel Monahan; and his granddaughter Jackie Decker.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Clutter (Charles) of Hamilton, TX, Edwin Chiddix (Susan) of Blue Springs, MO and Charles Chiddix of Jefferson City, MO; and his grandchildren, Eddie Chiddix (Kerry) of Waverly, MO, Shawn Chiddix (Jessica) of Kansas City, MO, Heather Colwell of Garland, TX, Scott Clutter (Jenny) of Frisco, TX and Stefaine Hilton (Mike) of Blue Springs, MO. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
His family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
