She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert L. Phillips and Ida M. Phillips (Tarwater); her husband Floyd A. Whitaker; her brother Robert Phillips; and her son Ricky Whitaker.

She is survived by: her son Clinton Whitaker (Joanna) of Grain Valley, MO; her brother Paul Phillips of Lone Jack, MO; her grandchildren, Tarika Bello (Marques) of Murfreesboro, TN and John Floyd Whitaker (Sally) of Grain Valley, MO; and her great grandchildren, Tyson Whitaker, Cassius Bello, Ceville Bello, Ezra Whitaker and Levi Whitaker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice at kchospice.org.
