Velma Morton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Morton of Gower, Missouri, who passed away on October 7, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Thomas and Lula Mae Morton (Hensley); her son Danny Morton; her daughter-in-law Kathy Morton; her daughter Shirley Wheeler; and her siblings, Elmer, Claud Hensley, Redia Copeland, Maggie Lewis, Agnes Johnson, Delpha Long, Mary Buchanan and Geneva Simpson.

She is survived by: her husband Maurice "Buster" Morton; her children, Dennis Morton (Kandy) and Sheila Mann (Paul); her son-in-law Eddie Wheeler; her grandchildren, Shanna Kilgore (Keith), Beth Thompson (Clint), Becky Schilling (Matt), Rachel Graham (Will), Brandon Morton (Shauna), Dusty Morton (Amaranta), Clancy Mann, Ian Mann and Danell Hensley (Danny); her great grandchildren, Eddie (Amanda), Eric, Ethan, Luke, Carson, Lilly, Nathan, Cooper, Jordan, Malana, Devon, Aidan, Braxton, Penelope, Amelia, Pierce and Frankie; her great great grandchild Alaia; and her niece Lana Young. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
