He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Anna Cantrell (Wolgamontt) and Homer Cantrell; his daughter Donna Demster; his grandsons, Stephen Cantrell and Mitchell Peppers, Jr.; and his siblings, Leon Cantrell and Carolyn Walters.
He is survived by: his wife Beulah Cantrell; and his children, Danny Michael Cantrell (Nina), Terry Peppers, Michelle Chase (George), Jenelle Bish (Rick), Kim Humphrey, Keith Cantrell (Brenda), Mark Cantrell (Patty), Dennis Humphrey, Mitchell Peppers, Kevin Everett and Shane Everett. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
