He was predeceased by: his parents, Laburn Matthews and Lorene Matthews; his sisters, Carolyn, Nadine and Patricia Pearl; and his son-in-law Mark Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Linda M. McClain; and his children, Cindy Matthews Hill of Camden Point, MO. and Chris Matthews (Kristin) of Charleston, SC.. He is also survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and sister-in-law.
