She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman W. Sander and Bertha Suedekum Sander; and her siblings, Ray Sander, Edna Lorberg and Blanche Schafer.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Stubbs (Jim) of Lee's Summit, Missouri and James Nischwitz (Maria) of Wildwood, Missouri; her grandchildren, Kristen (Colin), Kaci Stubbs, Emily Nischwitz and Erin Nischwitz; and her brother Ralph Sander (Jean) of Golden, Colorado. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Zion Lutheran Church, Gordonville or St. James UCC, Tilsit, Cemetery Fund.
