He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Summerlin Jr. and Rubie E. Summerlin (Deen); his stepchildren, Kevin Parker and Susan Dougless; and his brother Gerald Summerlin.
He is survived by: his children, David Summerlin (Gail) of Joplin, Kevin Summerlin (Chassie) of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, Christine Hays (Kevin) of Conway, Brenda Summerlin of Conway and Diana Tilford (G. W.) of Mabelvale, Arkansas; his stepchildren, David Parker (April) of Jasper, Wayne Poe of Olathe, Gary Poe (Brenda) of Eagle Rock, Dan Poe (Katie) of Roseburg, Oregon, Sheri Pierce (Ralph) of Oronogo, Kelly Woodard of Joplin and Marcia Dade (Roger) of Harwood, Missouri; and his siblings, Roy Summerlin (Reba) of Jacksonville, Don Summerlin (Judy) of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, Sheila Rattliff of Tahlequah and Frela Summerlin of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
