He is survived by: his wife Brenda Bratton; his son Jeremy Schmitt; his siblings, Lawrence Dean Schmitt (Hui Cha), Carol Dill (Jim), Mary Ballard, Norma Newsome, Lucy Braun, Phoenix, Ariz and Nancy Hatfield; his father-in-law Robert Bratton; his sisters-in-law, Debbie Ivey (Tim) and Glenda Braun Shell Knob (David); and also Kerry Blanchard. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
