He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Plummer and Pat Plummer. He is survived by: his close friend Tim Helmers; his children, Katy and Scott Plummer; his sister Connie Plummer; and his girlfriend Nancy Conner.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Combating COVID-19 Fund through Gates Philanthropy Partners.
