He is survived by: his son Jerrold Lynn Shields (Sarah) of Kansas City, MO.; his siblings, Donald Shields (Vicki) and Kathryn Shields (Philip Cardarella); and his son Jeffrey Shields (Jenny) of Kansas City, MO..
