He was predeceased by: his parents, Orsie Henderson and Emma Henderson. He is survived by: his wife Bess Henderson; his sons, Jerald L., Larry R. (Tammy) and Robert D. (Lisa); his grandchildren, Andrea, Breanna, Elizabeth (Kellen), Amanda, Kaylin, Robert E. and Jordan; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Cade, Bentley and Danika.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to Liberty United Methodist Church music ministry.
