He was predeceased by: his former wife Eleanor; his daughter Sue; and his son-in-law Greg. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Dan (Andria), Dave (Kristin), Deborah (Vicky Hayes), Patricia (Don Dawson) and Mary (Stan Dorak); his grandchildren, Ryan, O'Hara, Brett, Kara, Olivia, Ben, Derek, Delaney, Madison and Cameron; and his great grandchildren, Sean, Molly and Eleanor Rose.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society/MS Society.
