She was predeceased by: her parents, Alie Matheny and Elmer Matheny; her husband J. E. Parr Jr.; her siblings, O'Neal Matheny, Lowell Higgenbottom, O'Dell Matheny, Florene Collins and Olene Huskey; and her granddaughter Tevis Bliss Lingle.

She is survived by: her children, Deborah Duncan (Don) of Lowry City, MO, Barbara Bliss (Rodger) of Bonney Lake, Washington, Jeannette Ashby-Welter (Roger Wilson) of Blue Springs, MO and David Parr (Ann Herrick) of Kansas City, MO; and her sister Doris Sullivan (Sully) of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
