He was predeceased by: his parents, Avon Posey and Thelma Posey (Gardner); his grandson Kendal Bohms; and his parents-in-law, Harold Clay (Carol Sue) and Helen Palmer (Doug).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Posey (Clay); his daughters, Mia Hall of Florence, Melissa Purdon (Larry) of Kansas City and Jamie Buchanan (Jason) of Leawood, Kansas; his grandchildren, T. J. Bohms (Morgan), Kelsey Gartner, Cole Johnson, Monica Johnson, Mason Purdon (Maddy), Ashlyn Purdon, Bella Buchanan and Jodi Fischesser; his great grandchildren, Addy Bohms, Aven Bohms, Kynlee Thomas, Aurora Bohms, Anna March, Kendal Bohms, Jr., Jackson McGinnis and Waylon Purdon; his brothers, Avon Eugene "Gene" Posey (Joan Elsbury) and Alan Posey of Prophetstown, Illinois; his sisters-in-law, Vicki King (Russell) of Green Castle, Carol Young (Clay) of Wentworth and Amy Palmer (Wendy) of North Sutton; his mother-in-law Alice Clay of Green City; and his brother-in-law Ed McNish of Green City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance because Friedreich's Ataxia has impacted the family greatly.
