He was predeceased by: his mother Ada Christine Sievert (Bahr); his wife Lora Bernice Ballou; his son David Gustav; his parent Gustav Sievert; his siblings, Arnold, Zolen, David, Vernon, Pauline Meuller, Vera Crosser and Jane Belk-Young; his parents-in-law, Raymond and Velva Ballou; and his siblings-in-law, Richard, Terry and Ila Mattox.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Alan and Stephen Warren; his daughter-in-law Kelly; his daughter Lisa Gayle; his son-in-law Mark Bozarth (Bo); his grandchildren, Marissa, Brooke, Joshua, Matthew (Liz), Nathaniel (Monica), Delaney, Chandler (Auche) and Adam (Karley); his great grandchildren, Emma, Hannah, Joel, Mackenzie, Zoey, Eliza, Ben and Damien; and his sister Ruth Laney.
