He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ludy and Wilmadell Reaka; his brother Gerald Ludy; and his wife Nancy Ponak. He is survived by: his sister Kim Ashurst (Rick); and his children, Michael Ludy (Linda), Christina Liesveld (Jay) and Vicki Kestermont (Tim).

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations are made to Kansas City Chapter of MS Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
