She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Murphy and Lora Murphy; her husband Don Staton; and her siblings, Donna O'Connor and Gary Murphy.

She is survived by: her great grandchild Hannah Tharp; her daughters, Karla Hammontree (Ron) and Joanna Brasher (Barry Kastel); her brothers, Perry Murphy (Barbara) and Dwaine Murphy; her sister-in-law Connie Murphy; and her grandchildren, David Hammontree (Brandee) and Rhonda Tharp (Craig).
