He was predeceased by: his parents, William Durkee and Delores Durkee (Wright); his wife Helen "Mickey" Durkee; his son Russell Dixon; his siblings, Richard Durkee, Paula Kyle and Anita Wood; and his brother-in-law David Bartgis.
He is survived by: his former wife Helen M. Gilpin; his daughter Maegan Varvel (Eric) of Coloma, Mich.; his siblings, Timothy Durkee (Donna) of Temple Texas, Teri Abercrombie (James) of Port St, Lori Burton (David) of Temple, Brenda Bartgis of Bethany, Okla and Tammy Horton (Ron) of Eau Claire, Mich; and his grandchildren, Alex Dixon, Austin Finch, Zachary Finch, Kyle Finch, Eric Varvel, Jr., Courtenay Varvel and Baylee Varvel.
