It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garlan H. Poeppelmeier of Gerald, Missouri, who passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Della Poeppelmeier (Kamper) and August; his wife Olivia; and his sons-in-law, Reuben Rohlfing and Dennis Kurrelmeyer.
He is survived by: his cousin Harry Edward Panhorst; his siblings, Gene and Barb; his daughters, Judy Rohlfing of Owensville and Brenda Kurrelmeyer of Owensville; and his grandchildren, Sheri Hasan, Iyhab of Waukee, Rick Rohlfing (Jodi Fortner) of Labadie, Robin Rohlfing (Amy) of New Haven, Stacy Watson (Michael) of New Bloomfield, Terri Adams (Brett) of Peru, Neb. and Chad Rohlfing (Chelsea) of Hermann. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
